Edinburgh’s annual jewellery event, the Elements Festival hosted by the Incorporation of Goldsmiths, takes place this weekend from 19th to 21st October and I'm privileged to have co-curated the festival exhibition as part of Fair Luxury.
Entitled Perspectives – Creating Jewellery for a Fairer Future, the exhibition features work from more than 30 makers who hold ethical choices and considerations at the heart of their practice alongside beautiful yet hard-hitting photographs of gold mining and goldsmithing by Ian Berry. Take a journey with us and discover some amazing pieces from high-end to high-street, avant-garde to classic - while exploring what the term ethical can mean.
Exhibitors include Ute Decker, whose signature armpiece is shown here alongside some of our jewellery, plus Wright & Teague, Made, Dorothy Hogg and the Fair Luxury team.
Ths is a must-visit event for all jewellery lovers and I for one can't wait to see this signficant selection of work all under one roof!
